Windham Fabrics may be best known to quilters for their stunning reproduction ranges but lately they have been introducing some fantastic contemporary fabrics into the mix, the latest of which is the gorgeous Timber by Jessica Levitt. This range is Jessica’s first fabric line for Windham and is a bold combination of stylised botanicals, with emphasis on the gingko tree, stripes, dots and a dash of whimsy in the form of bird silhouettes and egg filled nests. With eight different prints in three colourways, you can choose to work with a single colour story or combine all three - the colours are a versatile blend of fresh brights, rich jewel tones and a touch of cocoa for warmth. Of course it makes beautiful quilts (click on the quilt below to download the free Balance Of Nature quilt pattern designed by Jessica for Windham Fabrics) but would also make gorgeous clothing, aprons, bags, cushions and bolsters.
