
"The 16th European Patchwork Meeting will take place in the Val d'Argent (Alsace) from September 16th until September 19th. Ste Marie aux Mines (the cradle of the Amish movement) as well as 3 other villages will celebrate during 4 days the quilters and their creations.
In 2010, the EPM will welcome South Korea and Germany as guest countries, making us discover wonderful new works. Other prestigious exhibitions, "Colour Improvisations" organized by Nancy Crow, "My Place" curated by Dijanne Cevaal showing works from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as well as solo exhibitions of Russian, French, Swedish and many more artists will be the highlights of the event.
There will be no EPM without a fantastic commercial are (about 150 exhibitors) featuring all the new collections of fabrics and notions available on the market.
31 one day classes, traditional as well as contemporary will welcome enthusiastic quilters.
For the second year, there will be a 4 day master class; the participants enjoying a lovely typical Alsatian Inn, will register for "Design Exploration" a class tought by Katie Pasquini , one of the EPM guest teachers.
